​Restaurants

  • El Gaucho Seattle - Our favorite steak house in Seattle.

  • Limited Edition Sushi - Victor's favorite omakase restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation 

  • ​Ray's Boathouse - We celebrated our wedding here. The restaurant has an amazing waterfront view!

  • Toulouse Petit Kitchen & LoungeThis is our go-to place before catching a movie at the nearby SIFF cinema. Cajun-Creole cuisine.

  • Wild Mountain Cafe - Sisi's favorite breakfast/brunch place. Arrive early on weekends or expect a wait. 

  • ​Lotus Pond Vietnamese Cuisine - Extensive menu with many great options. Sisi's go-to when she doesn't know where to eat.

  • Miss Pho - They have the best fried chicken wings.

  • Un Bien - Our neighborhood Caribbean sandwich place.

  • Bangrak Market - Thai street food. Be prepared to wait.

  • Rondo Japanese Kitchen - Ramen restaurant. There is usually a line, but it moves pretty fast.

  • Market House Meats - Victor's favorite sandwich shop in the city.

  • Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen - Sisi's favorite Thai restaurant. They have multiple locations in the city. We usually go to the one in Queen Anne.

  • Spicy Style of Sichuan - If you are craving for some spicy Chinese food.

  • ​Friendship BBQ - Sisi's favorite Chinese BBQ skewer place in Seattle.

Bakery, Cafe, and Sweets

  • Petit Pierre Bakery - We got to know about this bakery during an apartment. tour. The leasing agent told us he would spend $400 a month at this bakery. we thought he was crazy until we tried it ourselves.

  • Fuji Bakery - Near where Sisi used to live. Don’t miss their milk stick!

  • Coffeeholic House - Sisi's favorite neighborhood cafe. They offer very interesting coffee recipes.

  • ​Café Hagen - They have a couple of locations, but the one in Queen Anne is where we had our first date!

  • Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream - A local ice cream shop with multiple locations across Seattle, known for its rotating monthly flavors.

  • Salt and Straw - Another popular local ice cream chain with multiple locations, also known for its creative and seasonal monthly flavors.

East side

The BRK Area (Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland)

​Restaurants

  • Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi - One of our top 2 favorite restaurants on the east side. Be sure to try their Foie Gras and fun desserts. Reserve in advance for window seats.

  • La Mar Cocina Peruana Bellevue - Our other top favorite on the Eastside. Offers Peruvian Cuisine. 

  • Minamoto - An omakase restaurant recommended by Victor (Sisi has not tried it yet, so she will report back!)

  • The Dolar shop - A popular spot for individual-style hot pot with high-quality ingredients.

  • MonGa Café - If you want a simple meal. Authentic Taiwanese restaurant recommended by a Taiwanese friend.

  • Seoul Meat Co - All you can eat korean BBQ restaurant.

  • Malay Satay Hut - Home-cooking-style Malaysian restaurant.

Bakery, Cafe, and Sweets

  • CHICHA San Chen - Taiwanese bubble tea shop 

  • HeyTea - Popular Chinese bubble tea brand featuring fruit tea

  • Meet Fresh - Sisi’s go-to dessert spot for taro balls.

  • ​Hui Lau Shan - Vitor's favorite Chinese dessert spot.

North side

Shoreline and Lynnwood

​Restaurants

  • Triumph Valley, Shoreline - This is our go-to spot for dim sum and a non-spicy meal.

  • Modoo Korean Restaurant - Popular Korean restaurant approved by a Korean friend

  • Baekjeong Lynnwood - Korean BBQ restaurant we would visit once in a while.

  • Hosoonyi Korean RestaurantThis is our go-to place for Korean home

  • Yeh Yeh's - Our favorite Banh mi place. 

South side

Anywhere around and south of the SeaTac airport

​Restaurants

  • YumYum Cafe (Seattle) - Great place to stop by for a quick meal before your flight or after you land.

  • Big Island Poke (Renton) - Hawaiian-style poke shop we like.

  • Triumph Valley (Renton) - Also a great place to stop by for a meal and dim sum before catching your flight.

  • Sushi Kaunta (Kent)A one-man sushi shop serving only one group at a time. Reservation is required

  • Circle Chinese Cuisine (Kent) - Taishan cuisine restaurant. This is one of Sisi's favorite Cantonese/Chinese restaurants.

  • Mercato Ristorante (Olympia) - We loved their handmade pasta when we visited. We hosted our wedding ceremony reception here on June 6th, 2026.

Fast Food

If you want to try some classic American fast food

  • Panda Express - A popular American Chinese fast food chain. Make sure to try their Orange Chicken.

  • Chipotle - A fast-casual Mexican chain where you can build your own burrito, bowl, or tacos. Fresh, filling, and easy to customize.

  • ​Chick-fil-A - A well-known American fast food chain famous for its chicken sandwiches. Be sure to try their signature Chick-fil-A sauce and waffle fries.

  • Dick's Drive-In- A Seattle classic for burgers, fries, and milkshakes. The fries may be a little soggy, but they are surprisingly addictive (according to Sisi).
