How we met
Sisi and Victor first met on Hinge in early 2025. Victor noticed Sisi’s technical diving setup in one of her photos and, thinking it was a drysuit, asked about her diving experience. Sisi replied with a cheerful “Hi dive buddy,” and was delighted to learn that Victor was also a PADI Rescue Diver, just like herself. What began as a simple conversation about diving quickly turned into frequent chats and plans to meet in person. Little did Sisi know that Victor would soon become her dive buddy for life.
Falling for each other
Sisi and Victor began dating in January 2025, shortly after they connected on Hinge. Their early days together were filled with frequent dates and long conversations, and within just a month they knew they had found someone special and became exclusive.
They soon discovered that they shared many hobbies and interests. They love traveling together and have explored places like Los Angeles, New York City, Vermont, and Hawaii, with many more destinations still ahead. Diving remains one of their favorite activities, and after getting their own gear in 2025 they began venturing into cold-water diving around Seattle, in addition to their usual warm-water dives.
They also enjoy photography, often bringing a camera along on their adventures. In the kitchen, their cooking styles complement each other perfectly. Sisi excels at quick weekday meals, while Victor enjoys slow cooking dishes that take hours to prepare. Outdoors, Sisi loves camping while Victor enjoys hiking, so in 2025 they bought a rooftop tent and began planning more camping and hiking trips together.
One of their favorite early memories together was a sunset walk along Alki Beach during their fourth date in January 2025. Sisi surprised Victor by bringing her camera along - something she hadn’t mentioned before - and most of the photos from that evening were taken by Victor using Sisi’s camera. It was also that evening, watching the sunset by the water, that they shared their first kiss and decided to become exclusive.
The Proposal
Sisi and Victor began talking about marriage in October 2025, and by November they had taken a spontaneous trip to Las Vegas to pick out their wedding bands. Victor proposed in January 2026, just before they signed their marriage paperwork, with their best friends there as witnesses. Sisi happily said yes.
They were officially married on March 9, 2026, and are excited to celebrate this next chapter with their family and friends during their reception weekend in Seattle.
